Members.Tax ManagerThe Indirect Tax Manager plays a critical role
in all aspects of indirect tax compliance at Niagara. This includes
sales/use tax, property tax, business licenses, value-added tax,
among others.Essential FunctionsManage comprehensive sales & use
tax functions, including preparation of monthly sales tax returns,
determine taxability of various transactions, issue tax exempt
certificate, research sales tax issue for all current and future
locationsManage value added tax for foreign subsidiariesReview and
modify current procedures to address tax variance issues with
Accounts PayableTake complete ownership of EBTax Module (Oracle
R12) including, but not limited to, setting up new tax rules,
fiscal code classification, maintain sales tax rules databaseDefend
all sales/use tax audits, property tax audits, and any other
indirect tax audits (including, but not limited to, providing data,
conducting plant tours, entering into settlements)Manage all
property tax compliance and appealsServe as a liaison between Tax
and Human Resources in all tax related policies & procedures,
(including researching, drafting, implementing, enforcing
policies)Manage relationship and work cohesively with Economic
Development to ensure we obtain the best tax incentives
possiblePerform annual incentive compliance with governmental
agencies regarding property tax/sales tax abatementsPerform
indirect tax due diligence research to support domestic and foreign
expansionsRecommend and participate in process improvement and
automation.Assist with other special projects as assignedPlease
