Job Description:

Selby Jennings is working with private equity firm with $1.5B AUM based out of Los Angeles, CA. This firm was founded in 2016 and primarily invests in middle-market industrials, business services, and consumer businesses among others. They are investing out of two top performing funds in their vintage. The firm is seeking an associate to join their M&A team in LA that will be responsible for delivering value-added business analysis as well as defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful, accurate investment decision-making.Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and evaluating actionable investment opportunities.
• Managing the acquisition pipelines for current portfolio companies.
• Preparing investment committee reports to present to senior management.
• Conduct modeling and financial risk analysis of business opportunities.
• Perform ongoing competitive analysis and work closely with internal stakeholders to assist in the company's strategic decision-making process.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Two years prior analytical experience in investment banking or management consulting.
  • Exceptional analytical and financial analysis skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to present analysis and findings in both verbal and written formats to all levels of management.
