Analyzes, develops and evaluates systems. Improves and maintains current systems or creates brand new projects. Designs and drafts blueprints, visits systems in the field and manages projects. Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignmentEssential FunctionsResponsible for creating test plans and experiments to challenge packaging designs and materialsImprove and manage packaging specifications, test methods, and standard operating proceduresOversee and manage complete packaging projects in accordance to Niagara policiesAnalyze engineering drawings and specifications of products to determine physical characteristics of items, special handling, environmental and safety requirements, and types of materials required for packaging.Work closely with Global Suppliers, Project Engineers, Quality, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams.Provide training to factory personnel on packaging tests and standards to drive a focus on packaging quality.Travel requirement of up to 25% is expectedCreate detailed technical reports and business presentations to company managementRecommend cost-effective solutions to complex problems.Supervise and coordinate internship projects.Please note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
