The pay for this position is $69.44 per hour ??? Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment ??? A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates Medical Device Systems Engineer Highlights ??? This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs ??? Hybrid schedule based in San Diego, CA with approximately 10% domestic travel required ??? The required availability for this position is standard business hours Monday through Friday Medical Device Systems Engineer Responsibilities ??? Provide systems leadership throughout various phases of the product life cycle ??? Translate voice of customer and stakeholder needs into system and product requirements ??? Identify potential hazards and ensure requirements align with user/business needs ??? Develop design and process specifications for hardware and software products ??? Support product verification, validation, and sustaining activities ??? Serve on project core teams and lead technical efforts across disciplines ??? Coordinate system-level product development and integration ??? Drive continuous improvement and apply DFSS best practices ??? Investigate and resolve in-market system behavior issues Medical Device Systems Engineer Requirements ??? Bachelor???s degree in Science or Engineering required; advanced degree preferred ??? Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience (including advanced degrees) ??? Strong technical background in Systems Engineering or medical device development ??? Experience in requirements management, integration/testing, and architectural planning ??? Familiarity with Reliability Engineering, Project Management, and FMEA ??? DFSS, statistical test design, or Critical Parameter Management experience ??? Excellent cross-functional communication and strong writing skills ??? Ability to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams ??? Experience in agile environments is a plus ??? Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days Preferred Qualifications ??? Postgraduate degree in a related field ??? Experience leading systems initiatives in regulated industries ???
