Job Description:
Quality Inspector - 1st shift $24-$26.DOE) Mon-Fri must be
available weekend for OT Position Summary: The In-Process Inspector
ensures the quality and precision of aerospace components during
the production process. This role is responsible for inspecting
parts and assemblies at various stages of manufacturing,
identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with company and
aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements. The
In-Process Inspector work closely with production teams. 1.
In-Process Inspection: o Monitor and inspect aerospace parts and
assemblies during manufacturing to ensure they meet specifications
Conducting visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using
precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges,
etc.) o Identify and document o Inspect materials, components, and
sub-assemblies for conformance to technical drawings, blueprints,
and engineering specifications. 2. Documentation and Reporting: o
Accurately document inspection results and non-conformances found.
o Prepare inspection reports o Maintain a comprehensive record of
in-process inspections 3. Collaboration with Production and
Engineering Teams: o Work closely with production operators,
supervisors and engineers. o Provide immediate feedback to the
production team when non-conformances are found 4. Compliance with
Aerospace Standards: o Ensure strict compliance with company
internal quality system requirements o Ensure all inspections,
processes, and procedures adhere to internal quality requirements.
o Verify that documentation complies with internal quality
requirements. 5. Quality Control and Calibration: o Ensure that
inspection tools are calibrated o Perform audits to
ensuremanufacturing processes comply withquality management system
requirements. 6. Safety and Regulatory Compliance: o Ensure
adherence to safety protocols and regulations, including personal
protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices. o Identify and
report potential hazards in the manufacturing process. 7.
Continuous Improvement: o Recommend and assist implementing
improvements. 8. Qualifications: · High school diploma or
equivalent; technical certifications in aerospace quality
control/inspection, manufacturing, or engineering are preferred. ·
Previous experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry or a
similar role within a highly regulated environment. · Working
knowledge of aerospace industry standards (AS9100, NADCAP, FAA
regulations, etc.) and quality management systems. · Proficiency
with precision measuring instruments and inspection tools. ·
Familiarity with technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
for aerospace components. · Excellent attention to detail and the
ability to identify and documentnon-conformances. · Strong
communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with
teams. · Ability to follow detailed instructions and work
independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Physical
Requirements: · Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods. ·
Ability to lift up to [X] lbs. when required for material handling.
· Comfort with working in a manufacturing environment with varying
noise levels and temperature conditions. · Ability to work in
confined spaces or elevated areas, depending on the production
