Description The Machinist is responsible for producing
high-precision components using manual and basic CNC machining
equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This role
involves interpreting technical drawings, maintaining tight
tolerances, performing routine machine maintenance, and ensuring
all work meets strict quality and safety standards. The Machinist
will work both independently and as part of a team to support
consistent production output for staging and fabrication
applications. Pay $26.00 - $32.00 DOE Hours Monday - Friday 6:00AM
- 5:00PM Saturday 6:00AM - 3:00PM Job Duties Operate manual
machining equipment such as lathes and mills following all safety
procedures. Produce precision components to specified tolerances
for various production needs. Read and interpret technical
drawings, blueprints, schematics, and fabrication documents.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet
production deadlines and quality standards. Perform both
small-batch and large-batch machining with consistency and
accuracy. Conduct routine machine maintenance and report mechanical
issues or irregularities. Use precision measuring instruments
(calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to inspect and verify
dimensions. Complete required training modules related to
machining, equipment use, and workplace safety. Maintain a clean,
organized, and safe work environment. Requirements High School
diploma or equivalent preferred. 2–4 years of machining experience
in a production, fabrication, or machine shop environment. Strong
understanding of machining principles, tolerances, speeds/feeds,
and material characteristics. Proficiency with standard machine
shop tools, equipment, and safety practices. Experience with
conventional machining (manual lathe, knee mill) highly desirable.
CNC machining or programming experience a plus; willingness to
train considered. Ability to read and interpret blueprints,
technical drawings, and CAD-generated files. Skilled in using
precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height
gauges. Reliable transportation and consistent, dependable
attendance required. Ability to work overtime and weekends when
required. Professional, neat, and clean appearance. Familiarity
with staging, fabrication, or entertainment production equipment is
a plus. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and
commitment to quality. Ability to follow instructions, work
independently, and collaborate within a team. Physical ability to
lift 50–75 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally, and
safely operate hand/power tools.
