Job Title: EHSS Specialist - (JP10014) Location: Thousand Oaks, CA. 91320 Employment Type: Contract Business Unit: R&D Industrial Hygiene & Ergonimics Duration: 1 years (with likely extensions) Notes: Posting Date: 03/22/2022 3 Key Consulting is hiring an EHSS Specialist for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company. Job Description: We are looking for an experienced professional in the Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHSS) group to lead safety and health programs at our Thousand Oaks location. The successful candidate will: Be responsible for the continuous improvement of industrial safety programs across the Thousand Oaks campus Provide expert level assessment support across the campus Assist in developing and implementing a safety and health strategy across the Thousand Oaks campus Primary responsibilities include: Assisting with development, advancement and implementation of the safety and health programs and strategy across the Thousand Oaks campus. Advancing core safety and health programs to manage EHSS risks primarily around industrial safety including: Confined Space, Hot Work, Fall Protection, LOTO, Electrical Safety The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills; have a strong understanding of industrial safety principles and a proven track record in maturing programs and processes. The position requires the ability to collaborate cross functionally and to influence management across many functions. Why is the Position Open? Supplement additional workload on team. Top Must-Have Skill Sets: Working independently Any industry CSP preferred Must be ok with working in the Field (Very hands on), onsite everyday Basic Qualifications: EHS bachelor’s degree & 5 years of experience in EHSS supporting safety and health programs Strong understanding of Chemical and Biological manufacturing and laboratory operations. Strong leadership and team building skills Process driven with a strong Operational Excellence mindset Strong communication and presentation skills, action oriented, self-starting, program development and project management Strong technical writing skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software systems Preferred Qualifications: 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry leading industrial programs Experience implementing and supporting safety and health programs Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and influence management Strong verbal & written communication skills, ability to effectively communicate cross functionally.
