Job Category Claim Compensation Overview The annual base salary
range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and
represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the
country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by
a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location
of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and
experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As
part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program,
employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive
awards. Salary Range $126,000.00 - $207,900.00 Target Openings 1
What Is the Opportunity? Travelers offers a hybrid work location

general direction, this position has accountability for the
financial controls, operational effectiveness, and logistical
results of an assigned claim operation. Provides leadership to
Claim Center, including the selection, training, development,
performance management and compensation administration of
Operations staff. Strategically partners with Lines of Business
leadership teams, Home Office Product teams, and Business Partners.
Provides input in the execution of national and local initiatives.
Leverages management information and analytics to identify
operational gaps and to provide actionable insights to partners.
What Will You Do? ATTRACT, RETAIN, DEVELOP WORLD CLASS TALENT:
Accountable for the selection, training and development of staff to
ensure succession plan and talent retention. Evaluates leadership
and staff performance and creates and implements development and
training strategies. Identify opportunities to ensure continuous
development of staff. Responsible for compensation decisions for
assigned staff. Provides frequent performance feedback. Serves as a
leadership role model to strengthen the development of the staff.
Creates a culture where employees feel valued, engaged and where
they can be successful. Provides guidance and direction to
Operations Managers and staff. PROVIDE COMPELLING CLAIM SERVICES:
Employs proper claim handling techniques to protect the integrity
of Travelers brand, providing consistent service quality and
streamlined processes to add value for our customers. Drives local
claim strategy/execution through effective communication and
endorsing a perpetual improvement mindset. CLAIM CENTER LEADERSHIP
Identifies business drivers and trends to support leadership in
developing and coordinating business plan/strategies and the
integration of product line business plans/strategies. Ensure
functions, process and procedures support office line of
businesses. Assists Claim Center Vice President and local product
leadership in driving national claim strategies as defined by each
line of business to ensure consistent and successful execution at
the local level. Works with line of business to adjust claim
processes as appropriate to anticipate, respond to and manage
trends, ensuring successful service and product delivery. DRIVE THE
INFORMATION ADVANTAGE: Proactively provides data to clearly
demonstrate and identify business drivers and trends and provide
recommendations to improve performance and successful product
delivery. Assists business partners (Field underwriting/Sales) in
understanding drivers, trends and product stress points to help
attract and retain business through partnership with lines and data
analytics. ACHIEVE OPTIMAL SOLUTIONS: Focuses on resolution and
process improvement, fulfilling all obligations while maximizing
cost effectiveness, helping the business understand drivers, trends
and product stress points and helping our partners attract and
retain business. Responsible for the execution & management of
non-technical Claim related activities. Monitors office volume and
staffing trends across all lines and across the office. Analyzes
actual versus planned, perform staffing analysis, monitor census
versus planning and budget forecasting. Monitor quality,
compliance, and results of claim policies, procedures and results
across all lines of business. Conduct Self-Assessment & Validation.
Oversees expense and financial controls for entire claim office
operation. Evaluate underlying controls by reviewing various
reports. Supports regulatory and Compliance in licensing, audits
and business continuity efforts (in partnership with corporate
departments, support local security, safety and welfare, and
records management retention). PARTNER FOR MUTUAL SUCCESS: Develops
and maintains effective relationships with colleagues, business
partners, regulatory agencies and others to achieve organizational
goals. As a member of the local Executive Management Team provide
input, insight and assistance to other product leads. Other duties

Candidate Have? Bachelors' degree in Finance or Accounting
preferred. Claim management experience in managing managers
preferred. General knowledge and understanding of marketing,
underwriting and account management processes preferred. Leading

Must Have? A minimum of 7 years insurance or financial industry
experience. A minimum of 2 years' experience managing employees.
