This individual will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest standards of product quality and safety within the automation umbrella.Essential FunctionsDevelop and Execute Automation Strategy:Create and implement a comprehensive automation strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectivesIdentify opportunities for automation across manufacturing plants to streamline processes and improve overall efficiencyCollaboration and Stakeholder Management:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Engineering, IT, and Quality Assurance, to understand automation needs and prioritiesBuild strong relationships with plant managers and other key stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of automation solutionsTechnology Assessment and Implementation:Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in automation technologies relevant to water and beverage bottling manufacturingEvaluate and select appropriate automation solutions, overseeing the implementation process from conception to executionPerformance Monitoring and Optimization:Implement systems for monitoring and analyzing the performance of automation solutionsContinuously optimize automation processes to achieve cost savings, improve product quality, and enhance overall operational effectivenessIndustry 4.0 Strategy:Formulate and execute a forward-looking automation strategy aligned with Industry 4.0 principlesFocus on leveraging data acquisition capabilities from machine PLC and controls to drive predictive maintenance, real-time monitoring, and overall operational intelligenceLeadership and Team Development:Lead and manage a team of automation engineers and managers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team cultureDevelop and mentor team members to align with company objectives, ensuring continuous learning and professional growthBuild a high-performing team that excels in executing automation initiatives and contributes to the overall success of the organizationCompliance and Safety:Ensure that all automation initiatives comply with industry regulations and safety standardsCollaborate with the Quality Assurance team to integrate quality control measures into automation processesPlease note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without prior noticeQualifications:Proven leadership experience in automation initiatives, with a specific focus on Industry 4.0 and data-driven strategies.In-depth knowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems, and controls technologies, with a keen understanding of their role in Industry 4.0 transformations.A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in successfully planning, managing, and executing automation projects across multiple manufacturing plants.Competencies:Strategic thinker with the ability to align automation initiatives with business and Industry 4.0 objectives.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teamsAble to work with minimal supervisionAble to translate data into recommendable actions to senior staffDetail-Oriented with Excellent Oral and Written Communication SkillsAble to execute tasks in a very dynamic and ever-changing environmentEducationMinimum Required:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field.Preferred:Master's Degree in Engineering, Automation, or other related fieldTypical Compensation RangePay Rate Type: Salary$156,991.00 - $219,786.00 / YearlyBonus Target:
