This position will also assist with payroll processing and will help maintain the HRIS system by processing actions.Essential Functions
    • Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures
    • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
    • Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database to ensure integrity of systems
    • Reviews employee time records for discrepancies and works with supervisors and managers to update time records
    • Performs meal and rest break audits for California law compliance, processing penalty pay and tracking of progressive disciplinary actions
    • Conducts new employee orientations
    • Prepares new employee files and verifies I-9 documentation
    • Updates HRIS systems with employee change requests and processes paperwork
    • Assists with processing of terminations
    • Assists department with various research projects and/or special projects
    • Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions
    • Assists or prepares department correspondence
    • Processes mail for the department including unemployment claims and verifications of employment
    • Performs other administrative duties as assigned
