Find your future with us.The Boeing Enterprise Product Security Engineering (PSE) Functional Office is seeking a highly motivated Product Security Engineer to join our team to support the development and delivery of PSE Digital Engineering tools and features, that allow Product Security and partner engineering organizations to perform their job effectively, efficiently, and completely. PSE is responsible for ensuring that our products and services are safe, cyber-secure, and resilient through engineering and technical solutions, for our engineers and programs to achieve critical security and resiliency objectivesIn this role you will be joining the PSE Functional Office to lead multi-discipline teams as the Digital Engineering Scrum-Master and engineer. You will be responsible to the Digital Engineering Ecosystem Lead and the Director of Enterprise PSE. You will partner closely with teammates from across the enterprise, and be exposed to a broad scope of systems and software technologies, such as: model-based security engineering; systems, risk and adversity analysis; software development lifecycle tools; security related testing and training; and a wide array of analytics and decision aids.Position Responsibilities:

  • Scrum Master: Perform the Scrum-Master role for Digital Engineering activities
    • Iteration/sprint planning meetings With a Product Owner, organize and facilitate iteration and sprint planning meetings. Determine ideal team velocity and protect the team from over-committing and scope creep. Aid in estimation and epic/task/story creation. Eliminate task overlaps & gaps.
    • Standups Organize and facilitate the team and sub-team(s) standup meetings to coordinate team design and development activities. Identify impediments.
    • Sprint Reviews & Retro - With a Product Owner, organize and facilitate team sprint review and retrospective meetings capturing team feedback for potential process improvement.
    • Board Administration - Work as the administrator of the scrum board. Ensure that story cards are up to date and the Jira tool is working well.
    • Team Mentor Meet individually with team members and stakeholders as needed. Iron out team disagreements about process and work styles. Help team work through disagreements and come to consensus to keep moving forward. Consult with team members and internal stakeholders on how best to work with the scrum team. Match team members to tasks.
    • Impediments Aid the team by eliminating external blockers and managing internal roadblocks through process or workflow improvements.
    • Team Onboarding - Help manage team access-control to collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and team distribution lists. Assign new team members to tasks. Identify training needs.
    • Enable Progress Work with relevant stakeholders or other Boeing groups and organizations to ensure the scrum team has all the tools, training, and capabilities to keep forward momentum. This can mean anything from procuring and configuring new collaboration tools, updating & improving team processes, or working with IT to get infrastructure the team needs.
    • Tool Management Administrate and organize the teams collaboration and coordination tools, such as Jira and Confluence. Manage Jira workflows and Confluence configurations. Help maintain and enforce compliance with Boeing security and tool policies.
    • Reporting & Flow Up/Down With Product Owner, perform regular analysis of burn down charts and other portfolio planning tools to understand what gets built and at what cadence.
    • Process Manager: Maintain and enforce the engineering team development processes put in place. For example, ensure that team members are using the appropriate peer review process or are appropriately working with feature requestors to validate their work.
    • Feature Board Manager: With a Product Owner, maintain and manage the project feature request process. Navigate feature requests through the feature request workflow and the Feature Review Board process.
    • Product Security Engineer: Assist in the design, development, testing, and validation of features for PSE Digital Engineering capabilities
      • Developing innovative capabilities for engineers and Boeing products
      • Contributing to PSE research and development projects
      • Innovating new capabilities to secure Boeing products from internal and external cyber-attacks by being able to detect, respond, and recover without human intervention or mission degradation
      • Performing collaborative design & development with other engineers and suppliersThis role will leverage experience in systems and software engineering, cybersecurity engineering, systems analysis, model based engineering, and technical project leadership. The successful candidate will highlight their interests and experiences in project and technical leadership, and systems and security thinking. This role will entail both Agile project management responsibilities and technical development responsibilities. Candidates will highlight their experience working in team environments, managing the interrelationships of teams through emotional intelligence insights, and communicating difficult technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of experience and expertise. They are also highly motivated and exhibit strong written and verbal communication, inter-personal, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary project and environment.Basic Technical and Operational Qualifications, Skills and Experience:The successful candidate must understand and possess demonstrable skills and experience, including:
        • Delivery of developed products and systems in an agile environment
        • Capturing user needs and creating quality solutions that meet those needs
        • Planning, executing, and leading the performance of a multi-discipline engineering team to deliver solutions to users
        • Decomposing user needs and deriving architectural elements, use cases, test cases, user stories
        • Managing and executing teams and projects utilizing tools such as JIRA, Confluence, & Bitbucket
        • Working with and mentoring teams to develop work packages, epics, features and stories, and tasks
        • Digital engineering tools and techniques, including Model Based Engineering, Analytics, Decision Aids, and associated knowledge models and techniques
        • Software or systems development, preferably across the lifecycle of design, development, test, and delivery with proven experience in delivering technical capabilities
        • Systems and/or software engineering activities, including:
          • Development of Architecture, Requirements, Concepts of Operations, and Use Cases
          • Development of Hardware and Software products
          • Integration and Unit Test
          • Verification and Validation
          • System-level Testing
          • Use of Model Based Engineering tools, such as CAMEO, and the application of relevant markup languages such as Unified Markup Language (UML) and Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
          • Preferred Technical and Operational Qualifications, Skills and Experience:The successful candidate is preferred to have understood of and possess demonstrable skills and experience, including:
            • Product Security, cybersecurity, product safety, physical security, or anti-tamper related engineering and design
            • Extensive experience in agile project development methodologies
            • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML, Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), or NATO Architecture Framework (NaF)
            • DevSecOps principles and practices
            • Extensive experience in agile project development operations (DevOps) tools and processes
            • Mentoring and advising junior engineers to develop technical and project management skills
            • Successful product development shown to meet customer needs on time and at budget
            • Developing demonstrably and verifiably secure solutions
            • Developing secure solutions for non-traditional IT infrastructure such as vehicles, satellites, and embedded systems
            • Developing secure solutions for deployment on cloud infrastructure provided as Platform-as-a-Service, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Function-as-a-Service, or Backend-as-a-Service.The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of performance and delivery in systems or software engineering, and experience throughout the course of the engineering lifecycle. Successful candidates are highly motivated and exhibit strong written and verbal communication, inter-personal, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and effectively with external customers and subcontractors in a multi-site and multi-discipline program and environment.This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
              • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
              • 1+ years of experience with the delivery of developed products and systems in an agile environment
              • Experience managing and executing teams and projects utilizing tools such as JIRA, Confluence, & BitbucketPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
                • Active US security clearance
                • Experience with successful product development shown to meet customer needs on time and at budget
