Packaging Engineer I The Packaging Engineer I is responsible for the development, testing, and implementation of packaging designs that are integral to Niagara. Additionally, the individual is responsible for reviewing and improving existing packaging designs. This role will also work closely with other business groups to investigate and respond to packaging-related complaints receive by Niagaras customers and consumers. Essential Functions + Responsible for the development and maintenance of packaging specifications, related test methods and SOPs. + Conduct validations of new products and production lines to ensure capability and conformance to specifications. + Perform qualification trials for new raw materials and vendors. + Provide training to factory personnel on packaging tests and standards to drive a focus on packaging quality. + Audit production lines and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality and line efficiencies. + Conduct packaging audits to monitor finished product quality at the consumer level. + Create detailed reports and presentations to present to company management. + Travel to perform on-site tests in satellite plants (25%) + Please note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
