Process Engineer - Machine Reliability Aseptic The Engineer I Machine Reliability is responsible for designing and executing the maintenance procedures for all of Niagaras aseptic and non-water beverage manufacturing assets. This includes working with the plant and their respective maintenance vendors to ensure all maintenance related metrics and projects are maintained and completed. Detailed Description + Conduct aseptic/beverage asset reliability audits for manufacturing facilities across all Niagara plants with aseptic/beverage lines + Participate in onsite visits for asset care audits and ensure compliance with OEM recommended maintenance procedures by evaluating plant maintenance practices. + Perform audit result analysis and organize audit close out presentations and educate the plant maintenance team on non-conformances observed during audit and + Provide recommendations to improve maintenance practices. + Implement safety policies, correct lubrication procedures and best PM practices across all plants. + Improvise and continuously improve the asset care audit system to enhance process sustainability and ensure its success + Work closely with QA team to ensure validation of aseptic processes and sterility through and through the use of proper maintenance + Develop systems for asset reliability for all manufacturing assets across Niagara aseptic/beverage plants. + Support with reliability concepts for execution of asset criticality, as part of Asset Reliability + Determine the function, capability, functional failure modes, probability of failure, impact severity and acceptable risk for assets to define the right maintenance requirements to eliminate functional failures and their effects. + Establish a systematic PM/PdM review process with support from the Planner to ensure the effectiveness of the existing PM/PdM program. + Coordinate PdM efforts on site to measure and secure an upward trend of the Asset Health. + Ensure appropriate follow up recommendations and actions from the inspection program of assets. + Identify and implement opportunities for improvement of Asset Health to optimize plant uptime. + Support the work preparation process to ensure job plans are prepared that explains the correct proactive tasks for effective work execution. + Support maintenance tasks aligned with the reliability improvement: improvement tasks, Inventory Management, RCA, RCM, 5Why, 5S, and Reliability Centered Maintenance skills improvement using reliability concepts. + Participate in RCFA and RCM processes within Maintenance organization using cross functional teams to ensure appropriate changes to the PM/ PdM program or plant modifications are made which improve reliability and reduce avoidable maintenance costs. + Participate in and take relevant agreed actions for OPEX team meetings to ensure equipment capabilities and help to develop a culture focused on solutions. + Update appropriate records to track program or equipment changes. + Coach site personnel in the reliability work processes to ensure continued alignment to the Asset Reliability + Establish cycles of improvement to ensure a sustainable reliability process. + Implement/improve preventive maintenance (PM) program for new/pre-existing aseptic/beverage lines within Niagara. + Liaise with OEM to establish preventive maintenance scripts/tasks for given equipment. + Validate and customize maintenance instructions as per actual equipment configuration/format at the facility. + Conduct onsite visits to validate the equipment maintenance instructions with plants and OEM feedback. + Establish strong communication between plants and OEM to accomplish process requirements. + Conduct CAV (Line Efficiency Trials) for new aseptic/beverages lines + Establish KPIs to evaluate equipment performance during new line installation and acceptance trials. + Provide plant support during line acceptance trials to identify areas of opportunity for continuous reliable production. + Ensure the new lines are delivering desired throughput at design speed and per purchasing contract. + Understand concepts of aseptic line validation as it pertains to sterility and other food quality aspects different from standard water lines + Follow up with equipment manufacturers and plant for any opportunities identified during acceptance trials and systematic closure of any open action items. + Perform machine availability and OEE analysis to identify issues related to line performance and collaborate with plant and OEMs to trouble shoot these issues for improved line performance. + Engineer I Machine Reliability is estimated to travel 50-70% + International travel is required + Please note this job description is not a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Work Experience/KSAs + Required: + 0-2 year(s) Experience in the Aseptic/Hot-fill/Beverage Manufacturing Industry or other related field + 0-2 year(s) Experience in Position including machine reliability experienceexperience may include a combination of work experience and education + Preferred: + 2-4 years Experience in the Aseptic/Hot-fill/Beverage Manufacturing Industry or other related field + 2-4 years Experience in Position including machine reliability experienceexperience may include a combination of work experience and education Preferred Competencies and Skills + Firm understanding of non-standard beverage processing such as aseptic, hot-fill, CSD processes + Basic knowledge of plastics, PET processing, blow-molding, filling and packaging process + Proficiency in, but not limited to: + Microsoft Office Applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio, etc. + Familiarity with reliability techniques such as RCA, FMEA, 5D, 5 WHYs, Reliability Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Tolerance and Worst-Case Analyses, Maintenance-induced failures etc. + Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc. + Able to translate data into recommendable actions to senior management + Strong analytical and problem solving skills + Self-motivated with a proven record of taking initiative + Able to work with minimal supervision + Detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills + Able to execute tasks in a very dynamic and ever-changing environment + Exercise sound judgment and ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce + Strong planning and organization skills, ability to multi-task Education + Minimum Required: + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other related fields or equivalent experience + Preferred: + Master's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Foreign Language + Preferred: Elementary Proficiency, Spanish Benefits /us/en/benefits This job is intended to be performed entirely outside of Colorado Any employment agency, person or entity that submits a rsum into this career site or to a hiring manager does so with the understanding that the applicant's rsum will become the property of Niagara Bottling, LLC.
