Valuation / Appraisal Coordinator

NuBridge Employement LLC is currently seeking an experienced Valuation / Appraisal Coordinator to join our team in Diamond Bar, CA 91765.

About the Role:
This position reports directly to the Valuation Coordinator Manager. The Valuation Coordinator will support and assist in the analytics, and processing of all residential and commercial real estate appraisal orders. The Valuation Coordinator's primary responsibilities are to maintain control of the appraisal process, provide timely updates, monitor completion dates, and ensure that all deadlines are met in a timely and efficient manner. Additional duties include managing the appraisal invoicing process and follow up on post-funding property appraisal and/or valuation reports.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between the borrower, broker, underwriter, loan originator, and lender on valuation-related items
  • Troubleshoot inquiry calls from borrowers, loan personnel and third-party vendors
  • Collect required documentation from applicants, brokers and/or processors and follow up on missing items
  • Review valuation-related documents received for each loan, verifying the accuracy and completeness of each document and compliance with company standards
  • Update pipeline reports reflecting the ongoing status of the valuation process
  • Preliminary review of appraisals and/or valuation reports on a broad range of property types for adherence to required items
  • Data entry into the Valuation Department valuation report
  • Enter information into company databases (LOS & department management system) as needed to reflect the ongoing status of the valuation process for each loan
  • Find and assign appraisal and/or valuation vendors within the territory of new loan submissions
  • Review valuation-related documents submitted on new and existing loans
  • Provide verbal and written status updates to loan production and operations department associates as needed
  • Provide written communication analyzing and summarizing property value estimates to operations department associates and senior management as needed
  • Determine the most appropriate valuation and/or environmental engineering firm and effectively communicate company requirements for all valuation assignments
  • Pull data from a variety of sources for completion and analysis of internal valuation reports
  • Assist with quality control of the company accepted vendor list
  • Maintain effective relationships with external fee appraisers, contractors, and vendors
  • Collect invoices and verify fees from third party vendors
  • Upload invoices to LOS and submit them to Chief Valuation Manager for approval
  • Prepare engagement letters and assign appraisal orders and property condition inspections to third party vendors
  • Order Environmental Risk Assessment (Phase I & Phase II) reports as needed
  • Maintain effective relationships with external fee appraisers and other external vendors
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President - Chief Valuation ManagerEducation and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • 3-5 years of similar experience
    • Experience in real estate with a department or firm involved in residential and/or commercial mortgage lending
    • Experience with business applications software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
    • Working knowledge of databases like CoStar, MLS, LoopNet, Real Quest or equivalent
    • Basic accounting knowledgeRequired Abilities and Skills:
      • Ability to provide excellent customer service in person and on the phone
      • Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent interruptions
      • Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and courtesy
      • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
      • General knowledge of US geography and ability to read maps
      • Excellent organizational, records and file management skills
      • Courtesy, customer service, effective communication and tact are essential elements of the job
