Job Description:
A company is looking for a Loss Mitigation Underwriter I,
responsible for managing loan modification workups and investor
workout options.
Key Responsibilities
Submit loan modification workups and understand investor waterfall
and required documents
Communicate with customers and negotiate short sale settlements
while managing account portfolios
Assess property values and determine suitable repayment options for
customers
Required Qualifications
Combined 3 years of higher education and/or experience, including 1
year in collections or underwriting
Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally over the
phone
Excellent customer service skills
Preferred: Bachelor's degree, paralegal certification, or mortgage
collections experience
