Description:Job Summary: FMI Aerostructures is seeking a Tool
Crib Attendant / Tool Setter is responsible for the preparation,
calibration, and maintenance of all cutting tools and tool setting
equipment used in the manufacturing process. This role ensures
tools are accurately measured, set, and ready for use to support
production efficiency and part quality. The ideal candidate is
detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a
fast-paced environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Job Responsibilities:- Set up and operate digital tool setters,
heat shrink machines, and other tool setting equipment.- Measure,
inspect, and verify tooling dimensions using precision measuring
instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and
presetters.- Maintain and organize tool crib inventory, including
receiving, issuing, labeling, and storing tools and inserts.-
Perform periodic tool inspections and quality checks to ensure
accuracy, cleanliness, and readiness.- Read and interpret
blueprints, tooling drawings, or job orders to determine tooling
requirements and specifications.- Select, assemble, preset, and
verify the correct tools, holders, and adapters for production
machines.- Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and supervisors
to ensure proper tooling is prepared and available as needed.-
Follow safety protocols when handling sharp or heavy tools and
equipment.- Record and maintain tooling data, inventory levels, and
tool life in logs or software systems.Requirements:- Familiarity
with a wide range of cutting tools and tool holders used in CNC
machining.- Basic understanding of machining processes and tooling
principles.- Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.- Ability
to work independently with minimal supervision.- Proficiency in
using measuring instruments and tooling presetters.- Good
communication and organizational skills.- This position is subject
to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which
requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S.
Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'),
Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Educational Qualification and Experience: - High school diploma or
equivalent.- 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing
environment, preferably in tool setting or tool crib roles.
