Job Description:
Metrolink seeks an enthusiastic and driven individual with an
interest in railroad rules and regulations, networking and
communication, and software testing, to join the Grads on Career
Track (GOCT) program. The GOCT - Operations Analyst will assist the
operation department with data entry, data analysis, review of
applicable Key Performance Indicators, and dashboarding information
in Tableau. Additionally, individual will interact with multiple
departments and attend group meetings.

The Metrolink Grads on Career Track program is a unique opportunity
for recent college graduates to gain real-world experience, work
with industry leaders, and exercise practical application of
academic studies within their assigned departments. The program
features include:

teach you core competencies that are necessary for success in any
career or organization.

the transportation industry.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, energetic, and excited
about public transportation. This person is curious, willing to
learn, and able to bring new and fresh ideas to Metrolink.
PROGRAM TERM:
Grads on Career Track participants work 40 hours per week. Upon
completion of the initial six (6) months, GOCT participants will
receive a performance evaluation based on goals and core
competencies. Employment may be extended for up to twenty-four (24)
months from the date of hire, and based on the participants overall
job performance, as well as the operational business needs and
workload demands in the assigned department.

intended to describe the general nature and level of work being

responsibilities:
Assist in program preparation, supervision and implementation.
May perform a variety of administrative support duties such as
conducting research, gathering data, preparing spreadsheets, and
other similar functions.
Use a computer to perform job related tasks, input and maintain
records, and/or conduct research as needed.
Prepare written communications.
Give verbal presentations.
Evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to recommend
improvements in reporting and processes.
Develop dashboards and relevant reports of relevant KPI's to
departments.
Update existing tools that leverage data gathering or recommend
additional tools that would enhance efficiencies.

Education and Experience
Recently graduated from an accredited four-year college or
university within the last twenty-four (24) months with a degree in
Operations Research, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Eligible to work in the United States as determined by the U.S.
Immigration Laws
Physical RequirementsTransition between a stationary position at a
desk or work location and move about Metrolink facilities or other
work site locations.
Operate tools to perform the duties of the position; such as
computers, office equipment and work-related machinery.
Transport equipment or boxes up to 25lbs.
Exchange ideas by means of communication.
Visual acuity to detect, identify and observe employees or train
movement and any barriers to movement when working on or near
railroad tracks.
Hear and perceive the nature of sounds when working on or near
railroad tracks.
Balance, ascend/descend, climb, kneel, stoop, bend, crouch or crawl
within assigned working conditions and or locations.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Position requires work in a normal office environment with little
exposure to excessive noise, dust, or temperature. Work may also be
conducted in outdoor environments, at construction sites, Railroad
Track and Right-of-Way environments, and warehouse environments,
with possible exposure to individuals who are hostile or irate,
moving mechanical parts, and loud noises (85+ decibels, such as
heavy trucks, construction, etc.)Selection Process:
